Really great to get an email from Kerrang to cover All Time Low at the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds. It’s a challenging venue – no pit and lighting variable..to say the least. But Kerrang were really clear about that they wanted and because I know the venue I was able to get myself into a decent position. I knew once I was there moving would be impossible. So there I was, at the back of the room, perched on the back of the bench seating, shoved up against a pillar. Standing head and shoulders above the crowd, I was spotted by guitarist Jack Barakat who shouted, “Hey ma’am…are you 10 feet tall?!” I gave him a thumbs up and played a small cameo part in the show.
It was completely rammed in there – the band normally play much bigger venues so this was a rare thing and had led to people queueing round the block for hours. A couple of super fans had even slept outside in sleeping bags the night before to get the best spot. It turned out to be a great show so hopefully they felt it was well worth the effort. Despite the challenging light, I’m really happy with the pictures, and more importantly Kerrang seem happy too. Check out the latest edition.
