Amazing year in music: NME, Uncut and N-Photo.
For anyone involved in the business of gigs – venues, promoters, management and of course artists – 2020 was a nightmare. And in 2021 the situation remained unpredictable. Despite everything though, the show did go on. Even as the travel restrictions and the tour cancellations continued, venues were open and festivals were back. Once again, we were enjoying that unique, collective live music experience. Perhaps more so as we’d missed it so much.
For me it was just brilliant to arrive at the end of 2021 feeling grateful. I’d had some great commissions and unexpected recommendations. And editors had been calling for images. It kind of felt like all the work over the years was paying off. So here are some of my favourite moments from the last 12 months. And here’s to the year ahead. We may be off to a slightly shaky start but I have absolutely no doubt, good things will happen.
