All eyes on Specsavers portraits!

Normally I do a lot of event coverage for Specsavers, but for this commission I got to shoot some portraits. I saw some familiar faces who recognised me as the one bobbing about during events, so it was great to hear that they loved the pictures they’d previously seen of mine, and I think it definitely helped them feel comfortable when it came to sitting alone with me for a proper face to face!

To help make the photographs easily transferable for different usage by Specsavers, all the portraits were straight head and shoulders against the white backdrop.

All of the models shared here work for Specsavers, either directly, or in the running of one of the franchises.

For the photographer, the thing that can sometimes be tricky when taking pictures of people in glasses is the reflection. You have to make sure that you don’t get any glare and can still see the person’s eyes clearly. I’m happy that my tried and tested – but trade secret – techniques worked a treat!
