After our enforced break, it was great to be back at the NEC for the Big Bang with Specsavers. The event is the UK’s biggest celebration of STEM. For the uninitiated that’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. It attracts thousands of young people from across the country, inspiring them to get involved.
For Specsavers, the Big Bang is a great opportunity to engage with aspiring young scientists. This year’s stand was even bigger and better with touch screens, lots of interactivity and engaging games. A steady stream of visitors kept the team super busy. And who knows, their efforts could help to attract a new raft of young people into a career with Specsavers.
Fortunately for me, there was no shortage of young people to photograph. It’s still exciting to be back in a big venue and getting back into the swing of large events. Great for business but also great for all the people working behind the scenes from the stand designers to the caterers. Long may it continue.
