Still the green city.

In November, the world waited to see what would emerge from COP 26. In Sheffield though, the green energy agenda was already on the move. The University of Sheffield’s Nuclear AMRC will be working with Rolls-Royce on the next phase of its Small Modular Reactor (SMR) programme. I went along to cover the launch event, hosted by AMRC CEO Andrew Storer. I’d shot some portraits of Andrew a few weeks previously and it was great to capture him in presentation mode alongside Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng MP, the Rolls-Royce SMR team and private investors. The event mix also included informal networking and a tour of the facility. Exciting to see government backing for a partnership venture which should genuinely benefit the planet. A little hope for the new year!
