Latest work for Loftus Media and BBC Radio – new portraits for the corporation’s Asian Network. In the past we’ve gone for a radio station set-up, but for the latest shoots I got to make some house calls. This is Gracie T, from Sheffield. She’s 24, really knowledgeable about music, teacher by day and DJ by night. She’s had a couple of on-air slots so far for the network, but I’m sure there’ll be more to come.

Meanwhile in Leeds, Raj is DJ Silverfinger Singh. Raj is already a regular on BBC Radio Leeds. Still, he’s really excited about the opportunity to join the Asian Network team. I also got to meet Raj’s dad, Aziz Ibrahim. As it turns out, back in the day, Aziz was rhythm section for Ian Brown. I love those kinds of connections. And perhaps inevitably we have mutual friends. As ever, it’s a small world.
