It’s always nice to have your work recognised and for me, seeing my music photography published more widely is a key measure of that recognition. Alongside my work for Q Magazine, recent commissions from Mojo and Kerrang have been really gratifying. I’ve also featured regularly in N-Photo, the magazine for all things Nikon, including a review of their latest, mirrorless Z 6. If you follow my blog, you’ll know that I am a huge fan of Nikon so being invited to test out the Z 6 for the UK brand team on the Snow Patrol tour was a real highlight of last year. However, it did not quite tempt me away from my Nikon D5, an investment that has really helped take the quality of my images to another level.  Coming from an analogue/film background, I really enjoy working with cameras to see what I can do with them and with the D5 there are endless possibilities. Looking at the pictures here, I’m sure you’ll see the quality has gone up a level.

As always, other highlights include new work and new clients, including universities in Sheffield and Leeds, but it’s also good to see clients here who have stuck with me since the very beginning.

You’ll also find one or two personal images here. Even in lockdown, there is no shortage of inspiration. If you’d like to see more, head to the project pages of this, my new website, which, in itself feels like another landmark to celebrate.

Leeds Festival 28thAugust2016

I trust it won’t be too long before we can meet face to face – I miss photographing people! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this virtual exhibition with thanks to everyone who has made the last 15 years of my life as a photographer really special. Stay safe out there.
