A Nordic flavour at Sheffield DocFest.

Each year, Sheffield DocFest attracts the cream of documentary film making to the city. It’s a truly international affair with different delegations converging on the Cultural Industries Quarter. Throughout the programme of talks and film showings, there’s also a constant buzz of networking. Beyond the main Showroom hub, cafes and venues are busy hosting different delegations. I went along to Tamper, to photograph Meet Northern Norway.

Tamper is a New Zealand style eatery offering Kiwi Coffee Culture. With that comes, a warm natural wood and brick interior that makes for a wonderful backdrop. The event was super busy, with good energy which comes across in the pictures. Everyone was so friendly, a great set of people and really easy to work with. And of course, they all spoke amazing English…which is great as my Norwegian isn’t up to much. Thanks to Frank Wilkes for inviting me along.
