It was a bit last minute getting a call on Friday to attend a job on Saturday, but you don’t turn down an opportunity to go to the Royal Albert Hall! I’d never been as a punter or a photographer so I was delighted to get the job through Loftus to capture Horrible Histories in action for the BBC.
As part of Proms on TV for families, Horrible Histories took us on a journey through the genre of opera featuring music from the likes of: Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance and Rossini’s The Barber of Seville.
I got all the wide angle and side shots in the first half from the auditorium, then spent the second half upfront and personal to capture some lovely close ups. It was a brilliant experience for me, despite the train and tube strikes adding an unnecessary additional layer of drama!
