Fairport’s Cropedy Convention

Headed by British folk-rock band Fairport Convention, this month I was at the annual three day festival on the edge of the village of Cropedy in Oxfordshire, which has been taking place since 1976!

It’s quite a chilled festival compared to many, but still hosts big names and crowds looking to dance and celebrate some of the more seasoned musicians on the circuit. With the likes of Robert Plant, Damian WIlson, Fisherman’s Friends and a farewell set from Strawbs, I was there to soak up the atmosphere and capture some highlights.

Stand out moments for me were meeting the lovely Kiki Dee, and the performance by Toya and Robert Fripp who many will remember from their Lockdown videos trying to keep everyone’s spirits up! Nile Rogers & Chic headlined as well as 10CC, and of course, Fairport Convention!
