Meet BBC Radio 2 Presenter Ellie Brennan

Sometimes when you go to photograph someone you just hit it off immediately. This was the case when I went to shoot Ellie Brennan at Media city in Manchester.

Currently covering for OJ Borg’s Radio 2 slot, Ellie was great fun – as you’d expect from a fellow Yorkshire lass!

We swapped lots of stories, including one where she surprised Jon McClure from Reverend and the Makers at one of his gigs… He thought she wanted a selfie with him, not for him to take one of her and her friends as she hadn’t yet realised who he was!

I love this one of Ellie outside Media City, and eventually in amongst our chatter, we also remembered to find a plain wall to take one of the required photos in front of!

As this was one of my jobs through Loftus, I also want to share the portrait I had taken by James Watkins for my new profile on their team page. Taken on the stairs in Wogan House, I’m pretty happy with this one given that I’m much more comfortable behind the camera than in front if it.
